In the season of autumn dew, gather it upon a dish; simmer it into sweetness, and it nourishes with a grace that wards off hunger and extends life.

Inspired by ancient texts that praised autumn dew as a source of nourishment and renewal, ERPU launches its first live music journey, The Gathering Dew. Conceived as a Thematic Live, each edition centers on a unique theme of shared resonance. For this opening, sound creators from China and abroad gather at wigwam, Shanghai, letting the “dew of sound” flow — easing the dryness of autumn and nourishing both body and mind.
ERPU’s Thematic Live
is a live music format where each event is structured around a specific theme, creating a shared moment of listening. Music, space and presence are treated as a whole, allowing the live experience to exist as a collective state rather than a conventional performance.
“Play It Right Here, Listening Elsewhere” is a raw, hazy, and delicate exhibition of musical moving-images -- rituals of presence captured by mobile phones or DV cameras.
These short videos, filmed casually by several young musicians, document their mostly improvised performances in uncertain, unbounded places. They do not seek to tell any particular story. Fifty miniature musical fragments line up into a long, slender horizon -- the moments when social-media era sinks into dusk. A new relationship to sound is taking shape: music as a ritual of being-there, the environment as a co-performer, recording as another form of listening. And we, elsewhere, gently brush against those hazy yet enduring moments.
“在这里玩，在别处听” 是一个原生、模糊又细腻的音乐影像展，手机或DV记录的存在的仪式：
在步行去寺庙的路上吹萨克斯；
在小小树林里和朋友弹六弦琴、吹单簧管；
又或者在小学的校门口，为放学的孩子们奏一段短暂快乐的乐句
废墟里的口琴，天台上的孩子，桥洞下即兴的回响
演奏的人，歌唱的人，处在运动中的人
把生命绕成一阵回旋的风
几位（组）年轻音乐人随心拍摄的短视频，记录了他们大多在不确定、无框架的地点的即兴演奏。不刻意讲述某个具体的故事，五十支小小的音乐短篇，在社交媒体滑入夕阳的时刻，连成一道狭长的地平线。一种新的声音关系正在形成：音乐是在场的仪式，环境与其共同演奏，拍摄成为另一种倾听，而我们在别处轻轻触摸那些朦胧又永恒的瞬间。
这是一个简单直接的展览。耳扑收集整理了这些视频资料，有幸在Imaginary Z回归万松岭路之际，将这些“小视频”轻柔地呈现出来。期待你在2025“荡一圈”杭州当代艺术周漫游的路上，进来坐一坐、呆一会儿、听一听。
